How to plan a month of social media content in one afternoon

Posting feels hard when you decide what to share every single day. This simple system helps you plan a full month of content in a few focused hours.

Most business owners don't struggle with social media because they lack ideas. They struggle because they decide what to post every day, at the last minute. That's tiring, and it shows.

Here is a simple system to plan a full month of content in one focused afternoon.

Step 1: Choose your content pillars

Pick three to five topics you'll post about again and again. For example:

  • Show your work: projects, before and after, behind the scenes
  • Teach something: tips, mistakes to avoid, how-to posts
  • Build trust: client reviews, your process, your team
  • Sell clearly: your services, offers and how to order

Step 2: Decide how often you'll post

Be realistic. Three good posts a week are better than seven rushed ones. Consistency matters more than volume.

Step 3: Fill a simple calendar

Make a table with the dates of the month. Assign a pillar to each posting day, then write a short idea for each one. Rotate the pillars so your feed stays balanced.

Step 4: Batch the creation

Write all captions in one session. Design all posts in another. Film short videos in one go. Batching is much faster than switching tasks every day.

Step 5: Use templates

A few branded templates for tips, quotes, reviews and announcements make every post look consistent and save hours of design time.

Step 6: Schedule everything

Use Meta Business Suite or another scheduling tool to publish posts automatically. Then you only need a few minutes a day to reply to comments and messages.

Review once a month

Look at which posts got the most saves, shares and messages. Do more of what works and drop what doesn't.

If you'd rather focus on your clients while someone else handles the planning and design, I can create your monthly content plan and branded post templates.
