What to put on your homepage: a simple structure that converts
Most homepages try to say everything and end up saying nothing. Here's a clear, section-by-section structure that turns visitors into inquiries.
Your homepage is often the first real conversation a client has with your business. Many homepages try to say everything at once and end up saying nothing clearly.
Here is a simple structure that works for most service businesses. Think of it as a story that moves the visitor from “what is this?” to “let's talk.”
1. The hero: what you do, for whom, and the next step
One clear headline that says what you offer and who it's for. A short supporting line. One main button, such as “Get a quote” or “Chat on WhatsApp.” This first screen decides whether people scroll or leave.
2. Proof, right away
Logos of clients you've worked with, real review snippets, years of experience or the number of completed projects. Keep it short and honest. It tells visitors they're in safe hands.
3. Your services
Three to six main services, each with a short description and a link to more details. Use the words your clients use, not internal jargon.
4. Why choose you
What makes you different? Faster delivery, a personal approach, a specific specialty, a guarantee? Pick the reasons that truly matter to your clients.
5. Your work
A few strong examples with real results. Quality beats quantity: four great projects are better than twenty average ones.
6. How it works
Show the process in three or four simple steps. People are much more likely to contact you when they know what happens next.
7. FAQ
Answer the questions you hear most often: prices, timelines, revisions, payment. This saves time for both of you and removes doubts.
8. The final call-to-action
End with a clear invitation and an easy way to contact you. Don't make visitors scroll back to the top.
If your homepage feels crowded or isn't bringing inquiries, I can restructure it, write clearer copy and design it to guide visitors toward contacting you.
